Professional Background

John Sterling has more than 18 years of Information Technology experience with proven ingenuity in the planning and delivery of critical applications, business process redesign and IT governance. Previous to Synch-Solutions, John held positions at Kraft Foods, CNA, and Sears, where his responsibilities included project management, customer service, contract management, infrastructure planning, service delivery and support.

Education/Awards

Sterling attended Jackson State University on a baseball scholarship and graduated in 1987 with a B.S. degree in Computer Science. Sterling and Synch-Solutions have been awarded the 2003 “Emerging Company of the Year” Award by Black Enterprise Magazine and Microsoft. Synch-Solutions has also been recognized by Crain’s Chicago Business as one of Chicago’s Largest Minority-Owned Firms.

With a commitment to educating Chicago’s youth, Sterling is affiliated with local philanthropies such as the Boy Scouts of America, Union League Boys and Girls Club, and the Chicago Public Schools’ “Principal for a Day.”
