Since our founding in 1997, Loop Capital Markets has been involved in over $800 billion of underwritings in the equity, tax-exempt and taxable fixed income capital markets; and earned a reputation as a dedicated resourceful partner with new ideas and new avenues of distribution.
Loop Capital Markets provides both equity and fixed income brokerage services exclusively to institutional investors. We trade equity, taxable and tax-exempt debt extensively with over 450 institutions including mutual funds, asset managers, insurance companies, corporations and governmental entities, ranging in size from $100 million in assets under management to $1.5 trillion in assets under management.
Professional Background
Mr. Reynolds has worked in the financial services industry for 20 years. Prior to starting Loop Capital Markets, Mr. Reynolds was a Director at Merrill Lynch & Company. As one of the leading salespeople in the Corporate and Institutional Client Group, Mr. Reynolds managed the municipal sales team responsible for the distribution of all tax-exempt products to institutional investors in the Midwest. Prior to Merrill Lynch, Mr. Reynolds was a Vice President at PaineWebber, Inc., where he established and headed the Midwest Municipal Bond Sales desk in Chicago. He was responsible for relocating coverage of key Midwest accounts from the New York headquarters to the region. Before that, he was an Assistant Vice President at Smith Barney, Harrison, Upham Inc. in municipal sales, where he sold tax-exempt securities to a broad array of institutional investors.
Education/Awards
Mr. Reynolds has a Master of Management degree from Northwestern University's Kellogg Graduate School of Management; a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from the Univ. of Wisconsin-LaCrosse, and a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation from the Assn. of Investment Management and Research. He holds the following licenses in the National Assn. of Securities Dealers: Series 3, 7, 24, 53, and 63.
