The law firm of Greene and Letts was established in 1990 by two experienced litigators who shared a vision for a better type of law firm. Professional Background

Greene has represented private and public corporations in a variety of matters including municipal law, commercial and contract litigation, contract negotiations, election law, Civil Rights and most facets of employment law. He has extensive experience in the trial of federal cases, especially employment discrimination cases. He participates as a panelist in many programs, conferences and seminars, primarily geared to employment law, and has written extensively on the subject.

Education/Awards

Greene earned his B.A. degree from the University of Illinois at Chicago in 1974. In 1977, he graduated from the University of Chicago Law School with a J.D. degree. He is admitted to practice law before Illinois courts and federal courts for the Northern and Central Districts of Illinois and the Eastern District of Michigan. He is also admitted to practice before the Seventh Circuit Court of appeals.

Business/Community Affiliations

Greene’s civic activities include service on the University of Illinois at Chicago College of LAS Board of Visitors and the Chicago Police Department / Chicago Board of Education “We Care” motivational Role Model Program. He is the past Vice President and member of the Board of Daniel J. Nellum Youth Services, and is currently a board member of The Chicago Lawyers Committee for Civil Rights Under Law. Greene serves as the Vice President of the National Minority Law Group and has served as a member of the 1989-1990 Magistrate Merit Selection Panel for the Northern District of Illinois. From 1985 to 1988, he was an elected, nonpartisan board member of School District 69 in Skokie, Illinois. Prior to that he served on the transition team for Mayor-elect Harold Washington, compiling a study on the City of Chicago, Department of Law. In 1980, Greene served as a member of the transition team for President-elect Ronald Reagan. He worked under the direction of the late Jewel S. LaFontant in preparing a study on the United States Commission on Civil Rights. Greene is a member of the American, National and Cook County Bar Associations.
