Professional Background

Prior to starting Electronic Knowledge Interchange, Robert co-founded Blackwell Consulting Services with Robert Blackwell Sr. While at Blackwell Consulting Services, Robert Jr. established and managed key business practice areas and client relationships such as Sanwa Bank, First Chicago, Mellon Bank, Abbott Labs and Seras. Prior to co-founding Blackwell Consulting Services, Robert founded another technology company, Bytewise International. Bytewise International was a company that specialized in development of complex financial planning systems for large organizations and options pricing, trading and portfolio management systems for the OEX, S&P 500 and foreign currency markets. The methodology was used to develop the world's largest spreadsheet based application. Robert has written several white papers on technical trending in the Stock and Options market. Robert has been a member of the Chicago Board of Trade and the Chicago Mercantile Exchange. Robert's professional career started at IBM in 1981 where he received an award of excellence for a system he developed that helped salesmen recognize new upgrade opportunities for IBM equipment.

Robert serves on the Mayor's Council of Technology Advisors, The Metropolitan Planning Committee and is a member of Chicago United. During the summer of 2000, Robert served as the Chairman of the Chicago Ping Pong ® Advisory Board. Robert is Board Member of After School Matters.
