Three African American firms are honored by PRSA in 2007 Silver Anvil Awards

Silver Anvil AwardsThe Public Relations Society of America recently announced the winners of the 2007 Silver Anvil Awards at a reception in New York City. Among the honorees were three African American public relations firms that took top honors in various categories.

The Silver Anvil, symbolizing the forging of public opinion, is awarded annually to public relations practitioners who, in the judgment of their peers, have successfully addressed a contemporary issue with exemplary professional skill, creativity and resourcefulness.

In the 50-plus-year history of the Silver Anvils, more than 1,000 organizations have been recognized, including solo practitioners, agencies of all sizes, large and small businesses, top corporations, non-profits, associations and government agencies.

The African American firms that captured honors were Flowers Communications Group, Miles Ahead Entertainment and Lambert, Edwards & Associates.
